Kiron is the training and capacity building partner on a recently awarded USAID contract that will provide a broad range of energy and water sector services to support Afghanistan's economic, social, and political development by providing secure, reliable, and affordable energy, water, and sanitation. Kiron will be responsible for providing advisory services to various stakeholders as needed. This will include various Ministries, regulatory groups and other energy entities as needed.
Kiron will also provide local capacity building and provide technical and managerial training for construction contractors, institutions and individuals. Local employment generation will be an important objective of the program and will focus on hiring and training Afghans and mentoring Afghanistan companies and individuals.
