Kiron is providing comprehensive training, assessment and support for ongoing workforce development programs in three provinces in Afghanistan. The programs focus on providing curriculum development, skills training, basic English and literacy training to ex-combatants. Kiron is providing curriculum, on the job training and establishing mentor-protégé relationships with different levels of trainees and in collaboration with local enterprise throughout Afghanistan. Capacity building will train and develop youth, women and ex-combatants to give them the skills necessary to become contributing members of the labor market. Supporting implementing partners to USAID and ISAF, Kiron is utilizing pre-existing relationships with multinational corporations, regional and local companies that will hire the trainees.
