James Llorca assumes Kiron’s Afghanistan Country Manager Role
Kiron Global Strategies, a leading workforce development and skills training provider, has appointed Mr. James Llorca as its new Country Manager for Afghanistan, overseeing Kiron’s capacity and skills development activities in the country’s resource sector. A trained geologist, Mr. Llorca is a senior Team Leader and project manager with more than 23 years of experience overseeing international projects worldwide. James has served in Afghanistan with Kiron since 2013, including oversight and management of Kiron’s team on the USAID Mining Investment Development for Afghanistan Sustainability (MIDAS) project. Prior to joining Kiron, James provided technical and management services for exploration and mining sector projects in Australia, Indonesia, the Philippines, China, and Zambia. In addition to his management skills, Mr. Llorca has demonstrated exceptional expertise in resource due diligence, technical exploration and mining appraisals, geological interpretation, resource modelling and compliance reviews and competency level resource estimations.
