Kiron is a certified woman-owned US-based Company with a history of successfully defining goals, developing strategies, and implementing assignments with specific technical requirements, challenging goals, and objectives. Kiron has performed training and communication projects globally with documented and measurable success. Kiron brings extensive experience in the development and execution of capacity building projects on behalf of the US Agency for International Development, Millennium Challenge Corporation, the US State Department, MEPI, a number of Foreign Ministries, and large private sector companies.

Joanna Block, President and CEO

Ms. Block has a diverse background and expertise in global workforce development consulting, international strategy and general management. She has demonstrable success as the CEO of Kiron Global Strategies which is focused on technical skills training tailored to specific economic needs of developing nations. Ms. Block is responsible for the oversight of programs ranging from labor market assessments to program development, delivery and implementation.

Ms. Block works in Central America, Eastern Europe, Middle East, Central Asia and Africa assisting in the integration of countries and regions into global economies by promoting adaptable workforces. She facilitates public-private partnerships focused on supporting economic development and competitiveness through workforce development. Many programs support and promote marginalized populations including youth and women development and employment through the creation of jobs and emphasis on the relevancy of skills training to labor market needs.

As the leader of Kiron Global Strategies, Ms. Block has been instrumental in directing numerous workforce development programs including those in Afghanistan, Benin, Burkina Faso, El Salvador, Iraq, Jordan, Mali, Pakistan, South Sudan and Tanzania. She has spearheaded the development, coordination and monitoring of global programs for USAID, DOD, MCC, NGO’s and Fortune 100 multinational corporations.

Previously, Ms. Block was a senior executive at ResCare a $1.5 Billion publicly traded company with hands on experience in administration, finance, M&A due diligence/transactions, joint venture partnerships, budgeting, contract negotiation and project management. She is a dedicated professional with a reputation for building strong relationships with high level executives at multinational corporations, the Royal families in several Middle Eastern countries, US and foreign government agencies and developing inter-sectoral partnerships.

Ms. Block is a graduate of The George Washington University.
